China is the largest manufacturer, exporter and consumer of textile and garment products throughout the world. Even though China faces intense competition from low cost nations like Bangladesh and Pakistan, many benefits still make China an attractive destination for production. The total output of the five provinces in the east coastal area, namely Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian and Guangdong, takes over 70% of the total output of the whole country.
