Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is an integral part of our daily business and we believe that it is an important part to ensure a strong fashion industry. We approach CSR through close work with our suppliers and constantly strive to improve our work in this area.
It is important to us that our products are the result of an ethical and safe supply chain. To achieve this, we require that our new manufacturers follow the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) or Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (Sedex) code of conduct. The majority of our long-standing suppliers are now BSCI certified and all major new suppliers must be BCSI or Sedex certified in order to work with us. We also comply with the United Nations Global Compact; an initiative that sets out ten principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
Before we work with a new factory, we visit them to check that they meet all our requirements before we start up a trial production. We also do regular inspections through independent auditing companies like SGS or BureauVeritas.
The majority of our clothes are made from pure and natural materials such as cotton, linen, wool and silk. So when a customer request Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certificate we can also provide that. We are also working to increase our use of organic cotton (GOTS).
